This energetic, female-fronted pop rock band that hails from Texas is poised to break on the scene with their unique brand of high power musical production and poignant, provocative lyrics. Addison Road has spent the last 5 years opening for numerous nationally recognized acts and most prominently as the featured band for Planet Wisdom youth conference. While affording them the opportunity to be in front of hundreds of thousands of youth, these conferences have helped to hone their stagecraft and songwriting focus to laser-like point that dissects and addresses the issues of the contemporary youth culture. Produced by award-winning producer Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Sanctus Real, Mandisa), this self-titled debut sonically represents current cutting-edge pop rock music. Equally at home on the Rock, Top 40 formats and able to execute skillful ballads, Addison Road will be the group to watch for 2008.

3 stars for this one..| Posted May 30, 2008
I liked the first three songs on the album ("This Could Be Our Day", "All That Matters", "Sticking With You") and then I liked "It Just Takes One".
It was a pretty good CD.. I hope their next one is a little stronger:)
A step above ordinary mainstream| Posted March 28, 2008
The music scene is flooded with synthetically saccharin sounding bands. While such music may be likable and have mass appeal, it tends to lack a great deal of substance and its novelty quickly fades. However, somehow Addison Road has found a way to extract the appeal of the mainstream synthetic sugary sound and jazz it up so that their music goes a little beyond being simply ordinary. The band couples the music with lyrics that have some substance. Addison Road has created a recipe for a CD that is likely to appeal to those who prefer a little more of a mainstream pop-rock sound, as well as those who are looking for something a little more meaty. What it all boils down to is that this is a fun CD that can be listened to repeatedly and enjoyed each time!
Great Live & on CD| Posted March 09, 2008
Addison Road also has very powerful lyrics, vocals & a great band behind them! As seen on the 'Planet Wisdom' tour, they sound even better live then on CD!

Addison Road ... What a Surprise!| Posted February 04, 2008
I honestly didn't know what to expect from Addison Road...I wasn't very excited. I just thought, "ok, another Superchic[k]." I figured it would be another teeny-bopper CD.
Surprisingly, their lyrics go deeper then your average Christian band. But from the very first line in "This Could be Our Day" a smile just spread across my face and I was hooked. It's a great anthem that could go be any youth/young adults groups theme song.
"That's All that Matters" ... is another good song about finding your identity in Christ and letting His love be all you need.
"Sticking with You" was a bit bubble gummy for me but its catchy.
"Hope Now" ... though simple, sticks with you. Its more of a ballad but still good. It's a song about faith ...
Ah "Starting Over Again." I love songs that continue to progress through out the song, building and building. And that is exactly what this song does. The song speaks of getting back up after falling ... and take that first step to starting over and changing. So it's pretty cool that as they speak of building your life again ... the musicality is building also.
"Run" was a pleasant surprise. I expected it to be fluffy ... but it wasn't and I loved the message it gave. About running towards God and not looking back at what you have left behind or used to be.
Overall ... I really like Addison Road. I'm going to listen to their album as much as I can before it disappears tomorrow. The icing on the cake was when I read their biography and discovered their mission is more than just making God music ... but leading people to the feet of Jesus. Telling the world all they know about the Loving Savior. "This Could Be Our Day" is the anthem of the lives and it is what they want to do. And that in itself is enough for me! Addison Road will be on my MP3 player as soon as I buy the album! Such a pleasant surprise :)

This cd is a great combination of rock, pop, alternative sounds that are really different - and how cool is it to see a strong female lead singer?!
This Could Be Our Day
Speaks to how our every action is so important, makes you think about the fact that even a relationship ending could be the beginning of the seeds we planted while in it.
All That Matters
A great anthem to nonconformity that I love (and I can already picture the audience reaction to this one in concert!)
Hope Now
Focuses on the fact that there's a freedom in letting go because it's all Him, we can't control it anyhow! The song itself is freeing!
Just Takes One
What if we actually made the attempt to actually touch someone without thinking about it - if we just spoke up, just served, just loved, and didn't leave them not knowing they had been around a follower of Christ? An awesome challenge...
Run
Do not be trapped by your past... in fact flee from it as fast as you can and don't look back, don't slow down because it will only hold you back. When you run from the past you have no choice but to run straight into your future and His arms
What Do I Know of Holy
A beautiful song that begs the question of how well do we understand who He is, what He is, and do we even understand how Holy our God is? He "that spoke me into motion"... awesome and challenging...
one other song is kind bubble gum - but we expect this to pull in the tweener females, makes sense.
Hope to hear it more on the air| Posted February 02, 2008
I love this album, their newest release, "All that Matters" is awesome. It really has stuck with me and reminds me not to compromise, because "all that matters" is God's love for us was not compromised!
The title just kinda roles off your lips.
The group has a great new sound, to me. I also know they have an awesome ministry to kids. Their hearts are real.
I pray God's richests blessings on this group and their lives.
