Saint Lewis' latest song is one that, "I (Saint) knew I just had to sing this." He explained, "My friend David Walker originally pitched the idea - he asked if I had any thoughts. I read his original lyrics and tears wells up in my eyes. This wasn't a song just for the church - it was for ME." The rest of the words just came, except for the chorus. "I led the song at a nearby church - the pastor abandoned his message, and kept asking me to sing those verses over and over." God was on this song. In time the chorus came during a pastoral hangout with Jesus Culture's Chris McClarney. "What began as friends hanging out, turned into a desktop dance party (including a disco ball - don't ask), and before I knew it we were sitting at a piano worshiping Jesus with what would become the song's chorus. It was a good day."
Give it a listen. I think you'll find that "Northern Star", though not mainstream CCM, will stick with you through the night - you'll wake up singing. It's worth singing and worth spinning.
