The new project from Nashville-based band Local Sound, To The King, releases today (Integrity Music). The five-song EP came together as an expression of the heart of Local Sound's home church movement, MyLocal.
From the project's funk-infused title track to the slower worship on "On Christ," each song has a different feeling and response to the countless ways the group sees God in their lives as a band and as a church. To The King is a call to go beyond listening and to participate in the act of worship, and Local Sound's hope most of all is to bring listeners closer to Jesus.
