Nashville-based singer/songwriter Abby Robertson released today her most personal track to date, "Sanctuary," written during a trying time when her dad was suffering from a major health problem. Robertson was able to turn inward and find peace the only way she knows how - through the power of God. The chilling, uplifting tune, which showcases Robertson's powerful, angelic vocals, was co-written with Tyrus Morgan (Unspoken, We Are Messengers), Dave Lubben (Halsey, Carly Rae Jepson, Corey Harper, TobyMac), Kevin Mac and Andrea Robertson, and is being released via her new deal with Big Future Music Group.
"I remember my mom reaching for a Bible when my dad was struggling with this health issue and randomly flipping to Psalm 150:1, which says, 'Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.' Me, my mom, my brother, and my dad all praised God in that moment--a moment that would later become this song."
