After listening extensively to blues, soul, metal & classic rock, Taylor created a rhythm and catchy riff in his head that quickly matched with a chorus & verse that both flowed on the mic. He wrote ‘City of Angels’ alone at home on his laptop, just using his guitar and voice. Taylor then took it to producer & engineer Eric Ron and recorded it in North Hollywood at Grey Area studios with drum, bass, guitar & vocals all played by Taylor himself (with some of the bass covered by Eric).
The track talks of personal trials and tribulations - walking through fire whilst battling both internal and external evils. Taylor narrates feeling saved by his faith & hope - whilst he is a Christian, he believes hope & faith have no religion, and that there is a light in any darkness.
Heavy distorted guitars and an anthemic vocal melody make up the core of this exhilarating track. Taylor Diambrini’s voice is endlessly versatile yet perfect for belting a rock anthem, with influences like Royal Blood & My Chemical Romance heavily prevalent.
Electrifying from start to finish, 'City of Angels’ is out now!
