Hover is the debut EP of worship leader and independent music producer, Connor Caughlan. His debut single "All Things New" has counted over 120k streams since it's release in January. Hover, his follow up EP is seven songs in length and is a collection of anthems written and produced from his apartment in Los Angeles.
The title comes from Genesis 1:2 where the “spirit of the Lord was over the surface of the deep.” The word used is rachaph which means flutter or shake; encapsulating the cherishing love when you get butterflies in your stomach and simultaneously the trembling before God in fear. This same word is used in Isaiah where it says “like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young and spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, the Lord alone guided him”(Deut. 32:11,12). It's also linked to Elisha laying on the corpse of the boy who died in 2 Kings 4. Connor is profoundly inspired and transformed by the truth that the Spirit of the Lord is hovering over us with resurrection and creativity at every moment of the day.
