Rain Part 3 (Live) EP [edit]
by Planetshakers | Genre: Praise & Worship | Release Date: August 09, 2019

The four songs on the new EP were recorded during the annual Planetshakers Conference at Melbourne Arena in Melbourne, AU this past April and broadcast-premiered live around the world via Daystar Television Network to millions in over 180 countries.

All of the new songs were produced, written (or co-written) and mixed by Planetshakers' Joth Hunt during a season in which he was battling cancer. Longing for a "refreshing touch of God's presence" with the song "Fall On Me," "a personal encounter with God's glory" with "Rain Your Glory Down," and declaring his love for God with the new song and video "My Reason," Hunt relays that "God On The Throne" from Rain Part 3 is a song that God gave him during his battle with cancer. "No matter what circumstance we find ourselves in, God is still on the throne."

An Album Celebrating God's Glory | Posted August 07, 2019
What You Need To Know
Planetshakers originally formed in 2000, hailing from Adelaide, Australia. The band came out of Planetshakers Conference in 1997, and are now based in Melbourne, Australia at Planetshakers church. Most of the band's albums are recorded in conferences around the world, with thousands of worshippers present.

What it Sounds Like
The band has a unique and new sound, which combines the bursting sound of "Fall On Me," as well as an instantly familiar worshipful tune of "God Is On The Throne." Planetshakers offers a worship experience that all ages will enjoy.

Spiritual Highlights
What seems to be repeated a lot in Planetshakers new EP, is God's glory raining down. "Rain Your Glory Down" sings, "So rain rain / rain down your glory / on us again / pour out your Spirit and rain"  We hear a lot in the Bible about God's power and glory, and God specifically talks about raining his righteousness down in Isaiah 45:8. "Open up, O heavens, and pour out your righteousness. Let the earth open wide so salvation and righteousness can sprout up together. I, the LORD, created them." In this passage, we see both God raining down His righteousness, and also God's power demonstrated in it. God created both salvation and righteousness, and he wants to have both rain down onto us.

Best Song On the Record
It's hard to pick what song I think is the best on this EP, but I think I would have to go with "God Is On The Throne." The song tells of how God is so powerful and is in control of everything. Definitely a great song!

Final Word
Planetshakers has brought a fun, and worshipful EP to the table, celebrating all that Jesus is. Rain Part 3 praises God for how great He is, and how powerful and mighty He is over everything. If you're looking for some new worship that's a mix of both pop and worship, this EP is one that you'll love! Planetshakers just wrapped up a conference in Cape Town, South Africa last month, and will soon be going to multiple countries around the world for the Planetshakers Glory conference in 2020.
