Ashes Remains' first independent record. Not much is known about the album. Not even where (or how) it was recorded. Via Dolorosa, After All This, Broken Pieces, Cry Out, and Pain were re-recorded for their next album, Last Day Breathing. The album is out of print and extremely rare, as it is not known how many copies were printed, but it is assumed that very little were made. This album has a noticeably softer sound than their post-Lose the Alibis material. One example is that vocalist Josh Smith employs no screamed vocals on the album. All 4 tracks (Via Dolorosa is a piano piece) that were re-recorded for Last Day Breathing are significantly heavier than the versions of this album, though the lyrics are relatively the same. The tracks on this CD sound more like contemporary Christian and gospel than their post-grunge sound on later albums. The album can be found on websites such as YouTube or Grooveshark, go there if you want to listen to it.
