In anticipation of the full-length "Clouds And Fire," Scott Riggan released the EP "Act of Surrender" in April 2008.
The EP features two mixes of the "Act of Surrender" radio single as well as an inventive cover of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" and the tender ode to parental sacrifice, "Mrs. Taylor."
The classic hymn "Hallelujah, What A Savior" gets a drastic face-lift, featuring such unusual "instruments" as a soccer ball, bicycle tire pump, cabassa and a pencil tapping on a guitar string.
Of "Where Mercy Lives," Scott writes "Why is it that I expect everyone to cut me some slack, but I struggle to extend grace to other people?"
