The Seas We Sail, the debut full-length album from Tidewater, will be released on April 12th, available exclusively at iTunes and other digital outlets. Originally released independently in 2010, the one man band helmed by singer/songwriter Brett Allen followed it up with 2011’s EP The Way That I Want You, which peaked at #4 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter Chart. With the success of The Way That I Want You, it seemed like the right time to re-release The Seas We Sail as a digital only version including a new cover of the Matt Maher hit, "Christ Is Risen."

wow, I like the smooth vocals and melodic strings, mandolin is awesome. Christ is Risen is definitely a favorite, and I will gift it to friends and family for Easter. I think this artist is one of the best up and coming in the Christian community.
Really like Tidewater| Posted April 18, 2011
My family is part Irish, so the mandolin is a huge favorite of mine. My husband tried to learn to play one once, but didn't do too well. Im really glad that people still use different instruments in thier music to stand out.
Sweet record.| Posted April 17, 2011
I am a big fan of any music with out of the ordinary instruments. The mandolin has a great sound, and I wish it was used more often. The vocals are great, and the entire record is really enjoyable to listen to.

Love the smooth sound. Great flowing vocals and nice music. The instruments remind me of the Irish typ of music that I have always enjoyed. The mandolin is a highly underrated intrument, wish I heard it more often.

"Surrounded" is a pretty good song, but it sounds a little childish. The rest of the album mostly follows that vibe. It's pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. Love the drum beats very much as well.
Awesome!| Posted April 15, 2011
Any music with some mandolin is fine by me. I love the sound of this stuff. I can't wait to pick up the new album. From what I have heard, it should be some good listening. This type of instrumental music is a great way to go.
A "SEA"D Worth Buying!| Posted April 11, 2011 The Seas We Sail, is definitely a good buy and a wonderful listen! The Lyrics are creative and meaningful, and the music and vocals are a cool, fresh type of Christian music. I enjoy each song on this CD, but Voices stood out to me the most. It's just a great, happy, sing-along kind of song that would put a smile on anyone's face. The whole CD has catchy, relatable lyrics, props to Brett Allen for such a great CD!

I LOVE what I've heard so far of this album. I cannot wait to get it! The video's "Surrounded" and "Guard" are totally awesome. I love them both. Very Seabird/Jon Foreman-ish. ;) This album is going to be great-can't wait until tuesday!
loved it| Posted April 06, 2011
I'm buying, loved how they use instruments creatively but keep the melodies strong. Just when it starts to get familiar a mandolin or great vocal keeps me interested. I am looking forward to adding Tidewater to my play list.
