No More Hurting People - Single by Marc No More Hurting People - Single by Marc

The music video for this song features images from Boston and other tragedies. It's kind of a pop song but still hopeful and pleading for peace, knowing it will happen someday when Christ returns. Check...

I have to say, it was quite a bit of creative thinking that resolves this one. It was lovely seeing the other O'Connors again.  Julie Lessman writes well. However, it's not for everyone - if you skip...

This is the second man-on-death-row-is-he-innocent? book I've read recently. (The other was Randy Singer's "The Last Plea Bargain") I thought this was well-written, but sad too. There's two twists...

....I never wanted to turn it off the whole time. Christy has a beautiful voice and if any of the songs had stood out in a negative way, I'd have noticed. I really want this CD.

Nice sound | Posted June-01-2009
I won this from a Twitter contest from @centricity and was I glad when I got it!!! I love "Back and Forth" from the radio, and "Burning Heartbeats" is an awesome song. "Quiet Place", the earliest written one, is great too. One of the best parts was the almost unheard-of 13 tracks (most albums that aren't best-ofs don't go beyond 12)Can't wait to hear more!!!

Sweet story | Posted June-01-2009
Marie and Beth fade into the background as Trina Muller takes centre stage. She wants to be a vet and must battle pressures from her parents and other obstacles. Near the end, you think it's basically over, but something near-tragic happens. It's a sweet story of love and following your God-given drive to use the talents He has blessed you with.

Great sequel | Posted June-01-2009
This was a great sequel to "Bygones". I'm so glad that Marie and Henry got married, and that everything worked out in the end. I found myself glued to the book.

Worship awesomeness | Posted May-30-2009
Chris Tomlin has a proven ability to produce great music and this CD is no exception. "Holy Is The Lord" and "How Great Is Our God" are two of my faves. I love the word choices on "Indescribable" (yes, I know he didn't write that, but it's a good song and he sings it well)

"Mighty Is The Power of the Cross" is very well done. "The Way I Was Made" is unusual for a worship album, not sure if it fits the genre but I like it.

Very Moving | Posted May-30-2009
A story of rediscovered faith in God, a prodigal daughter, and faithful love, set in the Mennonite settlement of Sommerfeld. This book was awesome. I came close to crying several times, and laughed a couple of times too. :)

Trust me, you'll want to see this one through from beginning to end. I read it a while ago and although Mackenzie and Delancey take a few wrong turns, the story is made all the more compelling. It may take a while to read, but you'll be left satisfied at the end.

Book by its cover | Posted May-27-2009
I saw this on the library new books display. I knew it had to be a Christian book the moment I saw the cover. There's just something about the art. Anyhow, I love it. I want to find out more about Emmaline, Geoffrey, Tildy, Ronald, Jim and Chris....where the story goes from there. An A+ great book.

Great story!!!! | Posted May-25-2009
I really enjoyed reading this book. I didn't even know who Keith Green was before. It's a great story of redemption, hope, and loss. So sad he had to die so young. But then, I'm just looking at it from Earth's perspective.

Not a bad one in the bunch | Posted May-22-2009
If it's any indication of what I think of this CD, I listed it in my "5 albums you could listen to all the way thru without stopping" list on LivingSocially on Facebook. (I recently did!!)

The lyrics are refreshing,Scriptural, and riveting. Any of the songs could've been a single. My favorites are "Break Me Down" "Love Is Here" "You Are" "Hold My Heart" and "Satisfy". I love the emotion Mike Donehey puts into his voice in every song. He's also a very talented lyricist.

Can't wait for more from TAN. :)
