What can I say about Switchfoot that I havent said already in my other postings. I was first introduced to Switchfoot by just litening to the radio, the first song I heard was "Stars" and from then on I fell in love with the band. The funny thing is that I am African American and normally people from my ethnicity do not listen to rock, if anything its gospel or hip hop right. I guess you could say I am breaking from tradition but regardless I have copies of most of there albums "Beautiful Letdown" "Nothing is Sound" "Oh Gravity" "Hello Hurricane" and I am so ready to buy there brand new album "Vice Verses" on September 27 that everyone is saying is sure to be a smash in the music world! Switchfoot as a band has been seriously underrated for years by the Christian meadia because Switchfoot's albums arent always professing God, actually a few songs do but not all of the songs do. I appreciate Switchfoot staying true to there rock roots and not changing for anyone else. The band says their faith is something that is personal and not something they always inject in there songs, they believe that as Christian artists they shouldnt just make music for Christians only.
I believe their Christians, because when I hear their songs they speak of looking for God in their pain or sadness and how there souls are wretched in comparison to Gods. Anyways I plan on going to there concerts sooner or later !!!!!
