As a Johnny-Come-Lately to hearing you guys, I'm really touched by your hearts. Yes, we are more than conquerers in Christ, but He also said that in this world we would have trouble. Too much of Christian music ignores the trouble we have, and takes the attitude, "My life is perfect, and so am I."
The impression I get from your music is more like, as one preacher put it, 'one beggar telling another where to find bread.' Yes, we have riches in Christ, but we need to resubmit to Him constantly, otherwise that old dead man comes back and tries to tell us that we're back in the cage Jesus freed us from. "Give us this day our daily bread", rather than, "I will build new, bigger barns to hold it all".
It is about Jesus, and He chose to make it about me, too, and you. Reaching out to Him, saying, "I need You, because I can't," that is being strong in the Lord. And that's what I hear in your lyrics. Stay strong in the Lord.
