This husband-and-wife team has united their love of music and relationship with GOD to create a high-energy, inspirational experience called LoveLikeViolence.
From small venues in their home base of Canton, Ohio, to increasingly larger churches, festivals, and concert venues worldwide, they've created a sound that resonates with audiences across cultures and musical genres. Stephanie and Stephen Spencer blend their voices to inspire and share their love of the world through music, bringing a message of peace with an indie rock sound that sometimes borders on 'punk.'
The band's name is more than catchy; it epitomizes the couple's vision of a world made peaceful through inspirational music. Their desire to spread love with the same energy so many people use to spread violence has allowed them to communicate their joy, love of music, and GOD's love to the masses.
Though they collaborated as a twosome for several years, the Spencers knew their journey would eventually introduce them to artists that shared their musical outlook and spiritual vision. While touring, they added two musicians to the band -- bassist Nate West, and (later) drummer Tony Saffell, formally of Inhale Exhale (previously released through Red Cord/Sony Music). With two new talents integrated into the group, LoveLikeViolence's lineup and vision were complete.
They now have a strong, powerful presence across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. With almost 10,000 followers on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, social media has boosted the band's presence and the love is spreading quickly. Additionally, Tony Saffell's strong musical reputation and recognition factor have helped the band increase their fan base and develop new audiences worldwide.
Their Inspirational Christian Rock reaches a diverse group of fans. With a sound comparable to Evanescence, Skillet, and Paramore, original songs such as "Robot Dreams," "Arms," and "Skittle" have positioned LoveLikeViolence in a more mainstream way, while broadening their appeal.
One of the group's many fans, Michael Graening of Mineral City, Ohio's Alive Festival, which hosts over 30,000 attendees each year, has invited them to perform at his event two years in a row, sharing the stage with Switchfoot, Lecrae, Newsboys, NEEDTOBREATHE, and other Christian music headliners. "Their high-energy stage show, combined with many powerful songs, make them a must-see live band," he says.
Without question, LoveLikeViolence leaves its audiences inspired, energized, and wanting more!
