A southern gospel quartet for more than a half century, no group has secured such a far reaching legacy like that of the Kingsmen Quartet. SInce 1956, this group  has risen from humble beginnings in the mountains of western North Carolina to one of the most beloved and innovative groups in Christian music. Countless renownwed artists have been a part of this great lineage; such as Eldridge Fox, "Big" Jim, Ray Dean Reese, Squire Parsons, Johnny Parrack, Anthony Burger, Ernie Phillips, Gary Sheppard of this great, and a host of others. The momentum has not stopped as this group continues to help define the Southern Gospel genre for a whole generation of music lovers, perhaps more so than any other group.

    Wonderful | Posted July 21, 2018
This is a very great quartet having recorded many nice songs which are popular in different countries. Being an essay writer at SolidEssay.com and frequently blogging about artists and bands, I can tell that you can write forever about the Kingsmen quartet, especially about their outstanding albums. Each of their albums has a special history behind and it's always a pleasure to listen to their music no matter the occasion.

Cool! My memory.. | Posted April 25, 2018
I want to thank this resource so much! I`ve learnt about so many artists who I remember since an early childhood. It's so nice check their works on Study Moose and keep those warm memories from the past. Do you know that In 1959, Lynn Easton invited Jack Ely to play with him at a Portland Hotel gig, with Ely singing and playing guitar and Easton on the drum kit?The two teenagers grew up together, as their parents were close friends.Easton and Ely performed at yacht club parties and soon added Mike Mitchell on guitar and Bob Nordby on bass to round out the band. Did they call themselves the Kingsmen, taking the name from a recently disbanded group?
