DeDe's a singer/ songwriter & arranger from Texas, with a new EP-CD, "LOVE & FAIRY TALES" scheduled for release in June 2013! Also known as Deborah Wedekind, DeDe has a combined total of over 100K fans and emails! DeDe's music plays 1000's of times a week on terrestrial & internet radio worldwide. Her music is primarily Adult Contemporary, Pop & Christian Adult Contemporary, and her original, "Psalm on Danny Boy", charted on TOP 10 RADIO CHARTS in July 2012.
She won two Top 5 Vocalist Awards from SingerUniverse.com: in Jan. 2012 for "Psalm", and also in February 2012 "for I Dreamed a Dream". DeDe's was awarded Honorable Mention for "Psalm" on Song of the Year.com in July 2012. DeDe also wrote and released the single, "America United", which was on the TOP 5 CRW MOST ADDED chart for Christian music in Nov-Dec. 2012.
DeDe's first CD, "Clear Skies Ahead", released in Nov. 2011, with 14 all-original arrangements. Since Jan 2013, she's been writing & working with well-known Nashville Producer Grammy Nominee & multi-Dove Award winner, Don Koch. DeDe & Don have been writing & recording original new songs for her EP, "LOVE & FAIRY TALES", coming in June. Don has over 38 #1 hits to his credit, and he has worked with Craig Morgan, Donny Osmond and Michael Crawford. Don's also worked with a host of major Christian artists including: 4 Him, Larnelle Harris, and Phillips Craig & Dean, just to name a few.
DeDe's also recording her CHRISTMAS CD in June/July 2013 with several original new songs & original arrangements of classic Christmas songs, releasing FALL 2013. She's written 5 great new Christmas songs, and wrote and produced a big Christmas SHOW in Houston Dec. 2012. She starred in the show with husband, Larry Wedekind, and Kristen Hertzenberg, who was Christine from "Phantom" Vegas.
DeDe & sister, actress Missi Pyle, appeared on Oct. 26, 2012 as guests on the Late Night TV Talk Show, BEING FRANK with Frank D'Angelo, in Toronto, CANADA. DeDe's music is a unique mix of Pop, Adult Contemporary, Christian & Americana, and also contains other elements of American music such as Jazz, Standards, Blues, Folk, Broadway and Gospel. She's been compared to everyone from Michael Buble to Adele, and from Amy Grant to Emmylou Harris. Her music appears on several WORLD TOP 10 CHARTS on Broadjam.com.
