Overcoming Affliction is a Christian Contemporary Rock band that plays for something much bigger than themselves. 

 Their goal as a band is to spread God's truth and love through music. With positive, uplifting lyrics, and catchy melodies, this band focuses 100% on their goal of reaching people for God. 

 Their Band name comes from this motto--"You can't overcome your affliction alone, but with God you can" And that truth has been very apparent to each of us as individuals through out the years. There are a lot of things that this life will throw at you. There are great hardships and times of brokenness that come our way. There are hard decisions, and times of affliction. We all have tried on our own to push through. We have tried time and again to fight the pain, battle the temptations, fix the problems... but in the end we just end up tired and hurting and no better off than before. But we want you to know, that God can fix the problems. God has promised to take your broken heart, your battered spirit, your beaten down soul and restore them. Through Jesus Christ we have all the strength we will ever need to overcome any affliction. We can stand tall knowing that it is the Lord Who fights for us! 

  "But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Exodus 14:13-14

Sadly, we have it on good sources that Overcoming Afliction has "broken up" and will no longer be touring or recording. The band's former drummer, Cody Clark, and BG Vocalist, Jared, may be forming a new project soon. Stay tuned for updates!
