Stellar Kart was made up of Adam Agee (lead vocals, guitars), Nick Baumhardt (guitars), Aliegh Shields (bass, vocals), and Jeremi Hough (drums). Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, the band formed in 2001. They are currently on an indefinite hiatus. Adam Agee is presently the lead singer of Audio Adrenaline.

The ten songs that make up Stellar Kart's last full-length release, 2013's All In, found Stellar Kart showcasing a new depth and growth both lyrically and musically while maintaining the wit and fun that have characterized the band since their first release in 2003.

Adam said, "I've never written this many songs for an album before. But as some of the themes started to emerge from these songs, I realized that I had a lot to say about God's faithfulness. We may not understand why we're going through struggles in the moment, but I believe it will make sense some day."

For their last full-length effort, Stellar Kart teamed up with hit producer, Seth Mosley (Me In Motion, Newsboys, and Audio Adrenaline). Adam said, "I was really excited when our management team suggested working with Seth on this new album because he's been a good friend for years. And having the chance to make music with your friends makes the experience that much better!"

The lead single, "All In (Apologize)," was a declaration, driven by acoustic guitars in a mid tempo Green Day fashion. Although it may be more difficult to walk the narrow road, Stellar Kart stood firm in their faith: "I am not ashamed/won't wont walk away/not trying to disguise/or ever hide the reason that I choose to be a fool/for the One who saved my life/I won't apologize." A string section and gang vocals turn the song into an anthem that comes as both a challenge and encouragement to those who are struggling to stand up for what they believe.

Perhaps the most accurate example of a Stellar Kart classic exemplified on All In is "Hollywood Reality." Poking fun of the ever-increasing influence of reality TV with driving rhythms and roaring guitars, Adam sang, "It's a Hollywood reality/A la la land of fake believe/scripted for the big screen/living in your TV." The melody and tongue-in-cheek lyrics are reminiscent of early Blink-182.

"So much of this album is about not wasting the time that we've been given. That we've been chosen to make a difference, and I hope these songs are anthems for people to live that out." Adam said. "Time's Not Waiting" is the culmination of that thought. "Say what you need to say/Do what you need to do/Love who you need to love/There's too much to see to live life behind the scenes." Lifting from the intensity of the album, "Time Is Not Waiting" inspires to ask the tough questions -- are you living your life for something bigger than this moment?

"As a band, our mission has always been to create amazing fun music with a positive message. And even more so on this album, I hope that people walk away knowing that they are not alone. That as Christians we have a shared experience of struggle, but also a faithful, loving God," Adam said. And perhaps more than anything, standing up for what you believe -- even when it's not popular is the most punk-rock thing you can do.

Looking forward to a new album! | Posted February 09, 2010
I'm at school right now in the middle of the student lounge, sans earbuds, wishing I could listen to their new album preview RIGHT NOW. But then, I'm torn... I love StellarKart. All three of their albums have never disappointed me, so maybe I don't need to preview this album before i buy it! On the other hand, they're SO good, I might just want to share it with EVERYONE, so why NOT just play it right here right now in the middle of a busy student lounge and share some amazing music with an awesome message? I think I just might. I'm really looking forward to StellarKart's new album and I just started following them on Twitter. Here's my list of my FAVORITE songs: Student Driver Innocent Me and Jesus Hold On Life Is Good Sunshine If you haven't heard of StellarKart, yet... make sure you find out really fast, you have NO idea what you've been missing! I'd love it if they followed me back @pixel8design. :)
