Founded by Jamey Bozeman (Luxury & Canary), They Sang as They Slew has two albums, 2004's "Get Well" and the new "Resistance." Band members are: Doug Andrews, Aaron Baber, Jamey Bozeman and Jordan Thomae.

The name "They Sang as they Slew" is a reference from the third book of The Lord of the Rings. Says band member Doug Andrews, "The music comes from jam sessions mostly. some of the songs Jamey Bozeman, our front man, brings in and we re-work, the rest are collective efforts...in down times during practice, when someone is in the bathroom, or tinkering with some other technical issue, those of us left (which usually means myself and our guitar player Jordan) will just jam, and voila, you have the foundation of a new song. In fact we have tons of songs still lingering out there on tape that need to be worked up. Jamie is the lyrics man and is responsible for all lyrical content on all of our songs. So as to whether the music or lyrics come first, in a word, yes."
