Church Music is arguably David Crowder*Band's their most innovative effort to date. Packed full with 17 tracks, the band's aim was for this album to serve as a reminder of the continual evolvement of music within the Church.

David Crowder On "Church Music" (Not On Album)
How I Heard| Posted January 16, 2010
I listened to most of this album while walking to the library. As a total experience, it's well done, but to take individual songs from it, the only one that really stood out was "How He Loves"
It's a new kind of Church Music| Posted January 13, 2010
I am an avid follower of David Crowder and his music, and have all of his releases. I can honestly say this is his most powerful, inventive, and experimental album to date. From the opening track to the last, Crowder uses loops, layering, and moving lyrics to redefine exactly what Church Music can be. Highlights are "the Nearness", "Eastern Hymn," "How He Loves," and "Birmingham." Highly recomended, the very best album of 2009.

When I first saw the title and flicked through a few songs on YouTube, I wrote this album off straight away. But when I listened to it again I was surprised to find that I enjoyed it. I like the mix of rock and techno sounds that David Crowder*Band uses in this album.
Church Music Soothes the Soul| Posted October 25, 2009
I am at a place where I am spiritually dry. I got Church Music because I am going to see DCB in concert next month in Atlanta. This album is soothing to my soul. I especially love "Eastern Hymn", "All Around Me", and "How He Loves". Thank you for writing music that stays on one's mind and points to the Giver of Peace.
David is Amazing... Again| Posted September 22, 2009
I just got this today and it is all I have listened to. David and the guys from Waco have outdone themselves. The Lord has blessed them greatly! Crowder's fans will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to see what he does with this in his live set.
Church Music Lives Up to Its Hype| Posted September 21, 2009
I just got done listening to the preview of Crowder's Church Music (thanks newreleasetueday for the preview!!). From despair to hope, want and plenty, sorrow and joy, the DCB has covered the entire spectrum on this new masterpiece.
The layering of the synths, heavy guitars, and rhythmns create a wide open sound that keeps you going. Not to mention the lyrics are great(as usual). Well worth the buy.
Church Music for the Living| Posted September 21, 2009
I must confess to knowing little of DCB. I've heard a few songs, enough to know that they are a Modern Worship style band, pretty basic rock and roll. Good music, but my expectations were sort of low. I pity the grandma that is going to pick up this CD based on the title. Church Music Indeed, only if your church happens to be a dance club.
Church Music finds the David Crowder Band at their best with a Techno/Electronica/Dance masterpiece. If that scares you, this album isn't for you. I'm sure the Oak Ridge boys would love your business. I L-O-V-E this Album. This is 17 Cuts! of Dance Worship. From Phos Hilaron to In The End this album barely takes a breath. My Favorites are The Nearness, Shadows, The Veil, How He Loves and the British Sounding Oh Happiness. Bad Songs. I know of none. A Hard Review to write, only because it's very hard to type while you're dancing.
Church Music makes my very short list of Perfect Albums (There are under 10). Sorry Hawk Nelson (Boo NRT for pulling DCB's stream early), but if you want to Live Life Loud, you'll get Church Music.
David Crowder Band, Church Music| Posted September 17, 2009
This album was a pleasant surprise. It has a totally different music sound from anything I have ever heard, but I liked it. Over this different music, you could still hear and understand all of the lyrics.
Great Stuff| Posted September 16, 2009
More great stuff from the Jeremy Bush* Band... once again the band has out done them self in producing a quality song collection. It's vintage Jeremy and yet new and fresh. Fans will not be disappointed.
