The inspiration for "Peacemaker" came when every voice in leadership seemed to claim they had the answers, yet true unity remained elusive. Despite calls for togetherness, the situation seemed to worsen daily. Only Jesus can bring genuine unity and peace, as pride, anger, pain, and resentment often stand in the way. Jesus' love is the remedy, offering healing that enables people to love others as only He can. True peace in society begins when people step back, surrender their desires, and seek God's way, which is to love their neighbors, remain humble, kind, and always strive to please God.
With these truths in mind, Gretchen Keskeys brought the concept and initial lyrics to Ian Eskelin, who returned with a song that lifted their heart in every way. Featuring the powerful message, "Our Savior is a peacemaker. True love come down. What the world needs now," the melody is both inspiring and timely. This is "Peacemaker."
