Pep Talks serves as the three-piece group’s third studio album, this time solely focusing on mental health and the process of successfully destigmatizing the largely prevalent disorder. The 17- track album boasts features from country star Kacey Musgraves on the song Pictures and Jon Bellion on the high energy track Passion Fashion.
The album takes the audience on an emotional journey with songs such as Family / Best Is Yet To Come, offering vulnerable and heart-wrenching relatability which is done effortlessly with frontman, Judah Aker’s vocals and a strumming guitar. Why Did You Run explores the deterioration of Aker’s mental health, which was sparked by the collapse of his parents’ marriage. The song uses a banjo and mandolin mix, which is used to depict the lead singer’s discontentment
