GO is the first rock record from newsboys in nearly 5 years, and their fans are primed and ready for more of the band's original high-energy pop sounds. With songs like the new single "Wherever We Go" being touted as the next "Shine" or "Breakfast", GO is certain to be a worldwide smash.

Wonderful CD| Posted February 24, 2008
I absolutely love this cd. Every song is wonderful. Very upbeat songs that make you want to dance. "Wherever We Go" is so amazing in the way it describes what happens when Christians spread the Gospel around the world. "The Mission" has a wonderful message about continuing the mission of salvation that Jesus started. Amazing cd.
Party album| Posted February 22, 2008
This album is the ultimate party album! After a concert of the Newsboys I bought the album and I'm still jumping around when I put it in my cd player.
Before I bought the album I listened to it in a book/cd-shop and... I wasn't that enthousiastic. I don't know why. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for this kind of 'happy music'.
The message of the lyrics is great. Especially 'Go', about go and tell the world about Jesus. Not only through words but also through deeds: "Everybody needs somebody to rely on / Everybody needs somebody's shoulder to cry on / I wanna send you there to assist".
'In Wonder' and 'I Am Free' are the worship songs of this album. The piano in the intro of 'Secret Kingdom' sounds a bit like the intro of 'Feel' of Robbie Williams to me.
There are also some songs on the album which probably will not be released as singles and maybe sound a bit different than the other (they are a bit slower): 'Let It All Come Out' and 'The Letter'. But that just makes the album more complete.
Back And Better Than Ever.| Posted January 26, 2008
The Newsboys are back. Go mixes the pop sound of Love Liberty Disco and rock sounds of Thrive into 40 minutes of pure greatness.
Here’s The Theme Song| Posted December 10, 2007
I'll be honest here, my expectations of this album were probably too high. I guess what I was hoping for was something in the vein of "Thrive Part II", and "Go" is not that album. It is however, thoroughly true to the Newsboys franchise: the songs are extremely catchy, nearly to the point of being infectious, and the whole album seems to have a light, effervescent undercurrent woven into its fabric. Once again the lyrics are witty and well thought out...and they have Steve Taylor's scent all over them. One thing that piqued my interest is that with this album, more so than with any previous Newsboys effort, the quality of the Taylor-free tracks seems to be quite high.
When all is said and done though, when I listen to this CD what I'm hearing is not forward movement, but rather a harking back to the days of "Take Me To Your Leader" or "Step Up To The Microphone" for sure, a great period for Newsboys fans, but with all the talent that is so obviously draped throughout the band, I guess I would rather hear something that puts the "New" back in their name...after all, The Returningtoformerglorysboys is a bit of a mouthful.
Personal Highlights: Secret Kingdom / Your Love Is Better Than Life
Personal Low Points: I Am Free / Let It All Come Out

The Newsboys put on one of the coolest live shows I have ever seen. Everyone should buy this album and then go out and see them live. I won't spoil any surprises, but it is a high energy show with some great music. Check it out!
