Skillet drummer Jen Ledger announced this week that former Flyleaf vocalist (and current Christian rock solo artist) Lacey Sturm will be filling in for Ledger on five dates during Skillet's upcoming tour with Breaking Benjamin. Fans had speculated that Ledger would miss several of those dates, as some of them overlap with the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, on which Ledger is a featured artist this year. Lacey won't be playing drums at these shows, as she announced in an Instagram Live with LEDGER, however, she will lend her powerhouse vocals to the group in Jen's absence.
Sturm and Skillet have collaborated in recent years, most notably, as Sturm sang on the band's recent single, "Breaking Free," which was featured on deluxe version of Skillet's most recent album, Unleashed Beyond. While it is unclear if the song will be part of the band's setlist on the tour, it would present a rare opportunity for Cooper and Sturm to perform the duet live.
