Dove-nominated songstress Beckah Shae has been constantly gaining momentum since her debut in 2006. Most people familiar with her work would agree in saying that she is no doubt one of the most underrated artists in Christian music, with her powerful vocals and bold faith leading the way in everything she does. With no lack of soul or passion present in her artistry, people are still learning just how powerful a force Beckah Shae is in the music scene.
With eight energy-filled studio albums and ten Billboard Christian CHR radio singles already under her belt, she now returns with her ninth project, Mighty. "My prayer is that this project releases living hope into all who hear it," Beckah says of the new album.
The title track, a bubbly opener, shows off Beckah's versatile vocal range and edges into a jazz feel. A captivating listen from the beginning notes, "Source Of Life" keeps with the urban jazz style and encourages listeners to always guard their heart, much like the passionate "Hold On" encourages listeners to keep going when life gets hard. "It's Well" is an upbeat nod to the old hymn, sure to make fans tap their feet and sing along with Beckah as she talks of her assurance in Christ.
Rhythmic cut "I'll Be Alright" produces lyrics of faith as Beckah's strong voice is once again put on display. Maybe the most sonically interesting piece on Mighty, "Wolves" is the highlight on this album. The track is a bit more mellow than the rest, yet still packs a punch with Beckah's powerful voice. Peppy "See Ya Soon" and uplifting "Hope Lives" close out the album on a positive note.

Simply put, Mighty is an album of inspiration. The pairing of Shae's extremely soulful vocals against encouraging and Biblical lyrics with a funky pop sound is one that definitely suits her style.
