Reflection Music Group rapper Canon is back on the stage after his tragic accident late last year, and he's already proving that he's still at the top of his game. Canon is serving as support on Derek Minor's Empire tour, which kicked off November 12 in Nashville, TN.
Canon took the opportunity of returning to the stage to perform his new single "
Grateful," a song born out of the experiences of the past year. "I'm not supposed to be here. I should have been dead," the artist explained candidly before performing the song. "I'm grateful for life."
The new single is the precursor to an upcoming full-length album, which will reflect the rapper's newfound perspective won through trials. You can continue to catch the artist on the Empire tour through the coming weeks.
Canon's accident happened last December when he fell over a guardrail into a ravine while trying to help a crash victim. The artist's broken jaw, shattered ankle and concussion left him facing months of rehab and healing before he could take the stage again. His return to the stage proved however that the experience has made his dedication to his mission stronger than ever.
