Geoffrey Andrews has found a growing number of new fans through lending his formidable voice to some incredible songs--from crooner hits to musical theatre to worship songs. After his stirring rendition of "O Holy Night" this past Christmas and the release of his latest cover of Hillsong's "O Praise the Name," we thought it was time to get to know this big voice.

NRT's Phill Feltham threw 11 quick-hit questions at Andrews, ranging from song choices to inspirations and aspirations.

What are your favorite songs and why?

My favorite songs are a mix of Broadway classics and Christian. "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe, "Wonderful, Merciful, Savior" by Selah, "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables, Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera and many others. I'd say I have many favorites, because some of these songs I grew up on, and others just stuck with me later after hearing them.

A few years ago, you did an amazing cover of "I Will Be Here" with Lauren Daigle. How did that come about?

We had sent to various artist managers a request for a duet partner, specifically for that song. At the time, Lauren Daigle was available to do it. I was amazed at her vocal ability. She has a great jazz style of vocals, but was able to do this song in a more classical way.

Why did you choose to cover Hillsong's "O Praise The Name"?

I saw Hillsong United perform live in Israel last year. Upon hearing it for the first time, I latched onto "O Praise The Name." I liked the tune and the message so much, that is why I chose to cover it.

What do you look for when you choose to cover a song? What inspires you?

I look for songs I've heard before and that are familiar to other listeners. Sometimes I look for songs that have interesting lyrics or a beautiful melody. I'm inspired by songs that have orchestral themes. I'm also inspired by some pop music.

You aspire to have an international footprint someday, like musical heavyweights Celine Dion, Josh Groban and Adele. Do you see yourself collaborating with those artists in the future?

I hope to someday reach that goal. It would be a great honor to collaborate with such artists. Adele is definitely a great artist in the music realm; her vocals are unique and unmatched. If I were able to collaborate with her someday, that would be an awesome achievement.

Tell us about the full-length album you released.

Via Voce is a mix of Christian and some mainstream songs. It's currently not available in major retail stores, however, it is available digitally through iTunes and other online media outlets. Also, physical copies are available on my website. We hope to release my full-length Christmas album with The London Symphony Orchestra this year as well.

What was it like to tour with Selah and Point of Grace?

The Christmas tours with Selah and Point of Grace were greater than I expected them to be. Both groups were very friendly and hospitable; I enjoyed spending time and traveling to new places with them. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and making new fans at the venues. Overall, the experience was one I'll never forget and I would welcome the opportunity to tour with them again.

What are your future plans for touring?

I plan to continue touring as much as possible in the future. We are currently working on Christmas tour possibilities, and we will have more news on that as the year progresses.

What are your favorite pieces of scripture? Why?

Any scripture that talks about what Jesus did for us on the cross hits home for me, such as Isaiah 53:5: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities... and by his wounds we are healed." Scriptures like this remind me not just of his death, but also about his resurrection. Had it not been for the resurrection, we would all be lost.
