Skylee Shea is a 20-year-old Christian singer-songwriter from Arizona, who is quickly emerging on the national stage. Captivating her audiences with her youth and passion for music, Skylee Shea sends a message for the Lord within her music. Residing in Nashville, TN, Skylee has toured with Building 429, Stars Go Dim, Rhett Walker, 7eventh Time Down, Love & the Outcome and many more.
Her debut single, "Drowning" released today on all digital platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. "The song was inspired by witnessing a toxic relationship that hurt a really close friend of mine," explains Shea. "I wanted to create a song of hope for them. Although my friend felt completely lost and lonely, I felt compelled to remind them that they are not drowning. Matthew 11:28 says 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' Cast ALL of your cares on HIM! Although sometimes we feel like we are drowning, know that He is already pulling you out of the water."
In addition to gaining new fans nationwide, a number of artists who have worked with Skylee have great things to say.
"She has a heart of gold and I love her music," says Ben Calhoun of Citizen Way.
Carter Frodge, a producer at Fair Trade Music Publishing said, "I have been working with Skylee for a little over a year now, and it has been absolutely wonderful to see her grow as an artist and person. She is always herself, and always has a story that she is ready to tell through her music. I know God has BIG things for this girl!"
"The maturity of the message that Skylee shares in her music are truths that we all need to hear," says Dave Schreiber, Program Director at Arizona's Shine/KNOT radio station. "She's a force to be reckoned with, in Christian music, as she continues to share through her songs, with others, what God has placed on her heart."
