James Collington-fronted Christian alternative band Collington recently released the music video for "Trouble." The song is from their latest EP, In Between, released back in August.
"I wrote 'Trouble' late one night when I was at my kitchen table with my guitar. I'm a night person, so I've always done a lot of processing at night. 'Trouble' came out of a season of my life where I was trying to make sense of a lot that had happened. For better and worse, my life was turned upside down and I really had a hard time making sense of things. A few months after writing 'Trouble' I went back to the song to redo the lyrics as they were something I initially was intending on replacing. When revisiting the track, the song revealed things to me about myself that I was not aware of. I think a huge part of mental and spiritual health is being honest with yourself and Creator. This song was the start of that conversation for me," Collington says about the song.
"I knew I wanted to write a record around this song so I began compiling songs. I selected 4 additional songs to put on our EP In Between. I'm so glad to have been able to make a video for 'Trouble'. The video came together quick and I had some of my favorite people involved. Unlike the last video for 'Here We Go', 'Trouble' has a little bit of story to it. I hope the story speaks for itself."
In addition to "Trouble," other tracks from In Between include "Here We Go" and "Cold." Their next upcoming tour date is November 2nd, where Collington will play at The Met in Pawtucket, RI.
