Phil Joel-fronted band Zealand is currently out with the Newsboys United Tour and has begun chronicling the journey with behind-the-scenes vlogs on YouTube. The first of these videos, posted last week, shows Phil revisiting some significant history as he takes a trip to the Guitar Center in LA that he first met the Newsboys at. In the video, Phil tells the story of the first time he met the Newsboys and played bass in front of them. Check out the video below.
As part of the history-making Newsboys United Tour, Phil is playing two sets each night: one with Zealand, and the other as part of the supergroup Newsboys lineup. Hitting more than thirty cities on its spring run, Phil and fellow former member Peter Furler join current members Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein and Jody Davis to perform some of their most popular hits from the legendary band's lengthy career. In addition to the major tour, Zealand just released their highly-anticipated debut full-length album, Liberated, which features the lead single "Spirit Sing." Click here to find it on Spotify and iTunes.
