The City Rockfest tour announced on January 17 that they "received an email from The Letter Black's agent saying they will be cancelling most of their shows for 2018, including The City Rockfest."

In a Twitter post, Christian rock band The Letter Black recently announced the cancellation of a few other upcoming tour dates, which they said they "hope to make up later in the year."

The band was previously announced as an opening act on one leg of The City Rockfest tour this Spring. At the time of this writing, the band has not made any official announcements nor has provided additional information as to the reason behind the cancellations.

There is good news for rock fans: another independent rock band and City Rockfest alumnus, Random Hero, has agreed to jump onto the tour in place of The Letter Black. "We are so stoked to announce we've been added to the City Rockfest Tour 2018 line up starting April 7th!" Random Hero shared on social media.

The Letter Black is a hard rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Last year they released an independent project, Pain, that saw the band explore an edgier and more grunge/metal sound than previous releases. You can learn more about The Letter Black and stay tuned for rescheduled concert dates by visiting them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The City Rockfest tour is an annual tour founded and coordinated by Seventh Day Slumber starting in 2015. Since then, the tour has gained increasing momentum, and this year will be able to expand to visit additional cities. There are still dates available to book, and if you're interested, you can email Info@JBHBooking.com. You can learn more about City Rockfest by visiting their Facebook page.

UPDATE: The Letter Black announced today on Facebook that due to family reasons they have decided to take a break from touring. The band said, "As our family grows so do the obligations for us to be at home and involved. This was not an easy decision because we love touring, meeting fans, sharing stories and spreading the Word."
