Everfound is now a trio, as Illarion, one of the four Odnoralov brothers, announced he would be moving on from the pop/rock family band.
Illarion, the band’s bassist, hasn’t played with the band since after summer festival season last year, when he began studies at Colorado University - Boulder as part of their Environmental Design program.
“I’ve realized how different I really am from my brothers,” Illarion wrote in a post on Everfound’s official Facebook page. “I’ve always had a different side to me, a side that had different aspirations and different dreams from my three brothers.”
Illarion said his time at Colorado this year came with “the realization and satisfaction” in knowing that architecture is what he was created to do.
“I have never felt so passionate about anything else I’ve ever done,” he noted. “God has blessed me with this passion, and I just don’t believe it’s possible for me to not pursue it. The more I study at the university, the more confident I feel about making this my career focus for as long as it lasts. It is becoming more and more a part of me.”
That realization came with the final decision to leave the band.
“I’ve spent most of my teenage life touring with Everfound,” Illarion wrote. “Ever since I was 12 or 13, the band was the only life I really knew. However bittersweet it may be to end my time as part of Everfound, I am incredibly excited to move on and realize those dreams and aspirations that have been a part of me for as long as I can remember.”
Illarion said he is confident in Everfound continuing with his brothers Ruslan, Nikita and Yan.
“I know this because this is their home; this is who they truly are, and I love each of them for it,” he said. “Trust me—song lyrics and music chords are quite literally the air they breathe. They love making music with all their hearts. And now, it is time for me to be doing what I love with all my heart.”
As a trio this spring, Everfound has been working on a Christmas project due later this year.
