Before they became famous with their album An Ocean Between Us, As I Lay Dying released this little gem. It's a great album to listen to and the lyrics are just as thoughtful as their other releases. I don't know what else to say about this album. You've got your basic insanely awesome riffs, pounding double bass pedals, and growls. Fans of As I Lay Dying should strive to own this album and fans of metal in general should pick up this or another album by this band and be blown away with how insightful their lyrics are about the different emotions people have and the ways to keep those emotions from turning you into a mess.
