The pastor of our church read The Dash in a sermon last month and we we posted his sermon on our church blog in a newsletter. Linda Ellis wrote a letter to him and accused him of copyright infringement. We took up a special offering and paid her $4000. How said that someone who claims to be a Christian author would do such a horrible thing. I believe God inspired our pastor to share her words. We are all extremely upset and want to speak about it, but we've been asked not too. The author made him sign a confidentiality agreement. All the Baptist preachers need to be very careful and warn our brethren to stop reading this poem in church and at funerals.
After he paid her he found out that this is a scheme to get money from preachers and pastors.
