Centricity Music has added another artist to its roster, singer/songwriter Lauren Daigle. Daigle will release her new project in 2014, but fans will get a taste of her immense talent on Centricity's upcoming holiday project, Christmas: Joy To The World.
Her featured song, "Light Of The World," co-written by Daigle, delivers a more worship oriented song that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas. The song is going for adds at radio and will be spotlighted with a Song Devo at NewReleaseTuesday.com on December 3. Daigle is managed by Eaglemont Entertainment (Jason Gray, Aaron Shust) .
"Lauren Daigle captured our attention from the first note we heard her sing," says Jon Sell, A&R, Centricity Music. "Now, I am excited we have the opportunity to work with her as she captures the hearts of people with her unique, smoky voice and contagious, joyful personality."
Daigle hails from Lafayette, LA where she got her start in entertainment by appearing as a camel at 3-years-old in a church play. That unique launch on stage led to Daigle becoming an American Idol contender in 2010 and 2012. Centricity Music discovered Daigle's incredible vocal talent at a Seattle artist retreat in 2012. Daigle was a last minute stand- in for the lead singer of another band when the singer became ill, and the entire Centricity staff was very impressed with Daigle's vocals.
From there, Daigle was asked to sing background vocals on Jason Gray's hit single, "Nothing Is Wasted." Daigle will also join Jason Gray on his Christmas Stories Tour this December. For further updates on Daigle please visit online at www.laurendaigle.com and on Twitter at @lauren_daigle.
