Solo pop singer turned Anthem Lights member Spencer Kane is up for MTV's Cover Of The Month for his video of Shawn Mendes' "Mercy." "I need your help! MTV asked me to submit my MERCY video to their COVER CONTEST and I did. PLZ click this and clap 10 trillion times, and I may be able to win," he posted to social media this morning.
Kane shared his "Mercy" cover to Spotify, iTunes and YouTube last week, where it already has over 8,000 views. Though he is now part of the Anthem Lights group, he has also kept up with his solo work as well, with this cover being just one of many the pop vocalist has released this year.
MTV's cover contest runs monthly by picking a different cover song for each round. At the end of the month, MTV will pick a winner and then all 12 winners will be entered to win an official music video shoot and be aired on MTV.
Spencer's video is currently at over a million "claps" (votes) and is steady climbing. Click here to visit his video on the website and clap for it to help Spencer win the contest.
