Here's what's happening TODAY in Christian music...
1. Who is
Art Era? We're going to find out pretty soon, as Dawn Michele from
Fireflight announced she's recording a song with the Seattle based producer.
2.
Finding Favour and
Lauren Daigle are on tour together, and Gotee Records shared a special backstage moment where the artists worshipped together to the classic hymn, "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus." See the video
here.
3.
Skillet added a bit more platinum to its resume, as their No. 1 Active Rock single "Awake & Alive" has received
RIAA Platinum certification, having sold more than 1 million digital copies. The Billboard Music Award winners have sold over 11 million albums and singles in the U.S. alone.
4.
B. Reith has a cold, and the normally stratospheric tenor voice turns unusually bassy in a
new video he recorded. Get well soon, B!
5.
Cubbie Fink--the bassist of Foster the People and husband to
Rebecca St. James--produced a song on
Jon Foreman's
The Wonderlands project. The song is called "You Alone," and Jon's pretty excited about it. Listen to it
here.
6. Over the past five years, rock band
RED has logged three-quarters of a million miles on its bus, and their ride has some serious issues that need addressing. So the band has turned to its fans to help raise funds for the bus. So far, fans have raised more than $15,000 of the $20,000 goal.
7. New Pureflix Movie
Woodlawn released a trailer this week, telling the true story about a revival that captivated a high school football team.
Everfound was excited (and surprised) to learn that their song "Take This City" was used in said trailer. View the trailer
here.
