If you think a book about space and Mars would be predictable, think again. Oxygen is a true space thriller and Ingermanson's best book. The story is about four astronauts who are sent to Mars on a disastrous mission. Everything starts out on the wrong foot and it's one thing after another. A mysterious bomb explodes and causes one of them to enter a coma. The exciting part of it is its unpredictability. Having that many problems happen at one time itsn't very realistic but it isn't a big deal. The characters are well developed and interesting to watch and at times the story is comedic. The worst part about the book is a slightly cheesy ending, but all in all, it’s really good and leaves room for a good sequel. 4.7 stars
