Nowhere is Joel's transition to mainstream more evident than in his coming album. Now a little wiser and bolder, his coming self-titled album, has Joel teaming up with David and Jonathan Thulin of 3 Studios. The next album shows Joel in a whole new light--with ultra-smooth, effortless vocals and cleverly written tracks--now ready to take on the nation with God's message of hope, love, and desire to draw all to Him.

Finding A Sound All His Own| Posted June 09, 2015
What happens when you mix deep country music roots with a timid love for pop sounds? It seems worship leader-turned-solo artist Joel Vaughn is trying to figure out the answer.
Southern raised and growing up with a strong passion for music, Joel's sound has been evolving since he was a teenager. Three albums in and now more in the mainstream spotlight than ever before, Joel is teaming up with David and Jonathan Thulin to bring us a new self-titled EP.
"Loved By You" displays Joel's effortlessly smooth voice and boasts redemptive lyrics such as "this is grace / this is truth / I don't deserve it / there's no way to earn it / I'm loved by You." Upbeat "In This World" quickly catches your attention and stands out as a favorite with soaring vocals and well-produced background instrumentation. This is a track you're sure to have on repeat for a while.
Slowing things back down, emotional "Remember" uses a powerful melody and lyrics to tug on listener's hearts, much as "Stars" paints a picture of how majestic God is. The last song featured on this short EP, "Don't Lose Hope," features guest vocalist Jonathan Thulin and proves to be the most outstanding track of them all. The two engaging voices work together to produce a deeply moving moment that ends the album on a beautiful note.
Closing Thoughts:
Although I would have liked to hear more songs on this project, what we do get to hear is definitely something worth listening to. Great production, incredible vocals, powerful lyrics: this EP seems to have it all. What the project lacks in length, it makes up for in quality.
If Joel Vaughn isn't a name you're already familiar with, get ready. I have a feeling this is only the beginning of what we're going to hear from him as he continues to find a sound of his own.
