Brandon Heath Blue Mountain Album Review
Posted October 31, 2012
By HisNameHisHouse,

Brandon Heath has released his fourth studio album entitled Blue Mountain on October 9, 2012 under the Reunion Records label, which this album was produced by Dan Muckala. The album is a divergence from the past albums Heath has made that were very pop centric to this album that has a country twang to it, but has not completely left behind his former sound. This is a superb effort by a great song-smith vocally and lyrically, a true masterpiece.

"The Harvester" is a very folk sounding song. This song was written from The Great Commission and compares the work of farming to that of farming for sinners that don't know Christ so that they accept him before the final days.

"Jesus in Disguise" is the a song on the album that is an ode to his former works. The song is about how we might not even recognize Jesus Christ if we were to meet him in our everyday lives.

"Blue Mountain" is the very definition of slow-paced country music. This song is about how if we come to this place we would be in a place like heaven.

"Diamond" is the epitome of a toe-tappin' song from the backwoods of the rural deep south.

"Love Will Be Enough for Us" is a song that has an intimate country sound. This song is about how we need not seek love, except that of The Maker.

"Love Does" is an example of modern country music with a religious message. The song could be written directly from 1 Corinthians 13.

"Paul Brown Petty" is a soft tempo autobiographical song about his grandfather.

"In the Dust" is a song that is haunting and is about our futile condition.

"Dyin' Day" is a desperately yearning song about a man on death row, who has changed and given his life over to The Lord.

"Hands of the Healer" is an easy breezy song that flows like the wind or water. This song is about giving your problems over to The Father.

"He Paid it All" is a song a country song that is about being reminiscent of The Savior paying the price for our sins.
