Five Iron Frenzy

Among the original ‘youth group bands’ of the 90's, Five Iron Frenzy produces off-beat, fast-paced, unconventional and slightly strange music collectively known as Ska.
I picked up their album All The Hype Money Can Buy at a yard sale when I was thirteen. It went into my CD player and stayed there for weeks on end. The upbeat, catchy, and ridiculously energetic songs featured on this album are perfect for many occasions. For example: Feeling discouraged? Listen to the first song, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”. Hopelessly in love? Give “Ugly Day” a listen. “You Probably Shouldn’t Move Here” provides one with a wonderful mini-vacation from calculus homework. Perhaps you’re feeling a bit retro? Try FIF’s skatastic cover of “It’s Not Unusual”.
A song for every occasion, including youth group night. That’s All The Hype Money Can Buy in a nutshell.
