Conservative Apologetics

By wencdj,
First up an admission. I picked up a copy of this book on Recommendation from Rush Limbaugh on his radio program. If anyone has a problem with that, they probably wont like the review either.
If your idea of a Conservative Book is the latest Let's Ridicule Liberals book by Ann Coulter, then you are going to hate this book. There is no humor in this book. Mark Levin has created the must have Conservative Manifesto. It is not an easy read. Unlike fiction, you must put this book down, think about what you read, pick up the book and re-read what you read. The Hot Button Issues are all covered (The Military, Illegal Immigration, Global Warming, Health Care) but they are presented in a thoughtful, fact filled discussion of why the Conservative Believes that these issues are best made by a free people in a free market, and why the false compassion of the liberal (or Stateist, in the book) is merely a thinly veiled attempt to centralize all power in government, something our founding fathers fought England to prevent. One example that comes to mind is the environmental push to have smart growth to preserve open space, which is contradicted by the fact that even 400 years after we arrived only 4% of our land is in use. How much more open can you get.
If you want to know what Conservatives believe, any book by a conservative will do. However if you want to know Why Conservatives believe what we believe, this book holds a good part of the answer. View All Music And Book Reviews By wencdj | View wencdj's Profile
