I first found out about Regina Doman after my mom bought Doman's novel "The Shadow of the Bear". This book was the first in her "Fairy Tales Retold" series.
"Shadow of the Bear" is based on the "Snow White and Red Rose" by the Brothers Grimm. The story follows two sisters after a stranger called Bear stumbles into their lives.
Doman brings fairy tales into the modern world. The trials faced by characters in her novels are similar to those in the original Grimm fairy tales. I was unable to put her books down!
