The futuristic stages in age of war
completely change the tone of combat compared to the early ages. Primitive fighters and medieval soldiers disappear, replaced by laser weapons, advanced machinery, and heavily armored units that dominate the battlefield. By that point, matches become visually chaotic with projectiles flying across the screen almost nonstop. Reaching the final age feels rewarding not only because the units are powerful, but because the player can finally see the full progression from ancient warfare to science fiction technology within a single match.
