I Am They has experienced a lot of firsts as part of the Rock & Worship Roadshow tour this year, but while on the Northwest leg of the tour this week, the band experienced a first they'd have preferred to avoid.

Thieves broke into the group's tour van while the six band members briefly were visiting Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge--a favorite among visitors to the area--while en route to the Portland, Ore. show.

The band estimates about $15,000 worth of laptop computers, customized in-ear monitors, money and more were stolen from the tour van. Other personal effects--including two band members' first bibles and another's journal of his young son's life--also were taken.

Many people already have come to the band's aid since the Saturday afternoon theft, including fellow tour mates Crowder, MercyMe and Group 1 Crew. I Am They's management is readying a GoFundMe online fundraiser in hopes of offsetting the hard costs of replacing necessary equipment.
