As shelter-in-place orders roll in across the country and gatherings are limited to small crowds, churches are being forced to get creative in how they deliver their services. Services are being streamed in abundance and other churches are revamping their limited stage layouts to accommodate social distancing among worship teams.

In order to help churches in these unprecedented times, music retailer Sweetwater has announced a line of isolation booths designed for houses of worship. While church drummers are no strangers to isolation booths, this line helps the whole band practice social distancing. They come in several different sizes with configurable connections for audio and personal monitors. Some models also include built-in cameras.

The models announced include the following standard configuration:
  • The Drummer: 4'x8', 4 cameras, 10 XLR, and 1 Ethernet.
  • The Rhythm Guitar: 6'x6', 1 camera, 2 XLR, 1 Ethernet, Amp Stand and Mic Kit
  • The Lead Guitar: 6'x8', 2 cameras, 1 XLR, 1 Ethernet, Amp Stand and Mic Kit
  • The Bass: 3'x3', no camera, 1 XLR, 1 Ethernet
  • The Backup Vocal: 4'x4', 1 camera, 1 XLR, 1 Ethernet
  • The Worship Leader: 12'x8', 12 cameras, 3 XLR, 1 Ethernet
All units come standard with power connections and lights, although some issues have been reported with the lights in the Bass model. The doors on the vocal booths open in the front and the band opens in the back to encourage even more social distancing between the two groups. 

Manufacturing has already begun with the first shipments expected to arrive by late April.
