While plenty of Christian artists have taken part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise funds for the ALS Association, one Christian artist decided to get doused for a different cause.

Pop/rock singer Robert Pierre posted an Instagram video on Sunday showing him and a couple other guys getting brief icy bath “for Israel.”

Pierre told NRT News he participated in the viral act to help a church in Israel raise money to give iPads to the autistic children in their congregation. 

"Our youth donated a lot," he said of his own home church.

In Israel, iPads and the Ola Mundo app have received lots of attention for helping that country's autistic youth. The app, which reportedly costs $80 a year to use, lets the children communicate using the app’s kid-friendly images.
