Last night in game 7 of the World Series with the score tied in the top of the 10th inning, it was pop artist Julianna Zobrist's husband Ben who saved the day with a go-ahead double that sent in two runs and led the Chicago Cubs to a 8-6 victory over the Indians and their first World Series win since 1908. Zobrist was named MPV of the World Series (the first player in Chicago Cubs history to have that honor since the award wasn't established until 1955) for his "curse-breaking" hit.

"So many prayers, so much sweat, so many many years, so much history, so many dreams, but more than anything...so many FANS WHO HAVE NEVER STOPPED BELIEVING. Thank you," Julianna shared on social media last night. 

The Cubs' win was legendary for many reasons, but especially for Zobrist who also won last year's championship game with the Kansas City Royals. After that World Series, he and Julianna made the decision to take an offer from the Chicago Cubs, partially because of the elusive championship that Cubs fans have been waiting 108 years to claim again. "My husband is so incredibly goal-driven, and so to walk into a team that's been defined as the lovable losers, and to have that challenge of redefining that, pushing the reset button in Chicago and now we're a winning city - it changes everything," Julianna told The New York Times after the game last night.

Aside from being a proud baseball wife now celebrating her husband's back-to-back championships, Julianna is still riding the waves from her July 1st debut full-length pop release Shatterproof.
