We Were Once lead singer Courtney Sapp-Scott and her husband Arles Scott have announced the birth of their son, Grayson Bjorn Scott.
The band announced the exciting news in a Facebook post on December 27, saying, "It's been an awesome year so far, and it has just got a little more awesome. We would like to congratulate our lead singer and her husband in the birth of this beautiful future rocker."
We Were Once is an independent alternative/pop rock band based out of Fayetteville, North Carolina. They are made up of the aforementioned lead singer Courtney Sapp-Scott, drummer Cliff Gore, bassist Erin Burkhardt along with her brother, guitarist Zach Burkhardt. The band has a mission to "spread light in even the darkest places, leaving the church walls to witness through their music and personal testimonies." They describe their music as "chest-thumping rhythms and guitar-driven melodies," blended together to create "an intriguing new face for Christian rock."
