The video release coincides with a new TWLOHA blog post by Jamie, entitled "Empty Seats At The Oscars. A Fight Renewed Each Morning," in which Jamie comments on the tragic passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman. The blog entry received 332,000+ unique page views over night - the largest amount of traffic any blog has ever received on the site. Both the video and the blog emphasize the importance of asking for help in times of struggle.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $1.2 million directly into treatment and recovery and responded to more than 170,000 messages and emails from more than 100 countries.
 
TWLOHA was awarded a $1 million grant at the first American Giving Awards presented by Chase Bank on NBC. This generous award was used to fund the nationwide HEAVY AND LIGHT tour in 2013.
